Bone Fit™ Course Overview
There are two Bone Fit™ Online Workshop streams available:
The Bone Fit™ Basics workshop is aimed at exercise and fitness professionals providing exercise programming in the community.
The workshop provides foundational training to work safely in providing exercise programming and training to clients with low bone mass and uncomplicated osteoporosis. A special focus of this course will be how to identify when a client should be referred to a physiotherapist.

- Posture, Balance and Walking Patterns
- Yoga & Pilates
- Introduction to Bone Fit™ Exercises I
- Scapular Stabilizer & Combined Exercises
- Case Studies
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Conduct safe exercise preparedness screening for clients with low bone mass and uncomplicated osteoporosis (no current fractures or co-morbidities).
- Have an understanding of exercises both beneficial and contraindicated for clients with osteoporosis.
- Be able to adapt simple transitional movements, activities of daily living and recreational pursuits.
By passing the final quiz (minimum 70%), you can:
- Promote yourself as Bone Fit™ Trained
- Appear on the Bone Fit™ Locator Map
- Gain access to new content developed by our trainers
Bone Fit™ Basics Workshop fee: $225 (Early bird $200)
The Bone Fit™ Clinical workshop is a comprehensive training program for rehabilitation professionals who work in a clinical environment where exercise prescription is the predominant modality for rehabilitation for clients with osteoporosis.
The overall objective of this workshop is to provide grounding for safe clinical assessment and management of clients with osteoporosis through exercise-based rehabilitation.

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Conduct a thorough clinical assessment and fracture screening, which is safe for any client along the spectrum of bone loss (from simple low bone mass to complex osteoporosis with co-morbidities)
- Provide rehabilitation through safe exercise prescription & adaptation.
- Perform an advanced evaluation of current activities of daily living and recreational pursuits and provide safe alternatives when appropriate.
By passing the final quiz (minimum 70%), you can:
- Promote yourself as Bone Fit™ Trained
- Appear on the Bone Fit™ Locator Map
- Gain access to new content developed by our trainers
Bone Fit™ Clinical Workshop fee: $450 (Early bird $400)
Bone Fit™ workshop participants are required to attend a one day in-person or virtual workshop, which are typically held on Saturdays from:
8:00 AM – 3:00 PM ET (for Basics Participants)
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET (for Clinical Participants)
Online Training Information and Preparation Requirements:
- Online Modules A, B, C, D and E must be completed before attending the workshop. This is to ensure that everyone attending has common baseline knowledge
- Activewear attire is recommended
- Participants are required to bring 1 yoga mat and 2 towels to perform exercises on the ground
- If attending a virtual session, participants are required to be on webcam when instructed
- Participants have the option of being listed on the Bone Fit™ Locator Map once they have successfully completed all course modules, attended the workshop, and passed the final knowledge assessment quiz. The Locator Map allows potential clients to connect with Bone Fit™ trained professionals to receive appropriate instruction for their bone health
