Fracture Risk Copy

You can use CAROC, FRAX, or the Fracture Risk Scale to determine fracture risk.

BUT you may not have access to the bone mineral density scores.

  • Vertebral or hip fracture – high risk
  • Wrist + vertebral or hip fracture – high risk
  • Wrist fracture only – moderate risk

High risk means there is 20% chance they will have another fracture within the next 10 years, and may affect the exercises you choose and the activities you recommend modifying.

Remember the Too Fit to Fracture Recommendations.
